The Rainbow Youth and Allies (Howard County MD) provides a safe space for youth (up to age 22) who are gay, lesbian, bisexual & transgendered (GLBT), as well as their allies. Meetings are held the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month. RYA is affiliated with PFLAG Howard County (Parents and Friends of Lesbians & Gays). RAINBOW YOUTH ALLIANCE - Harford County
The Rainbow Youth Alliance (RYA) is a support group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and questioning teens and their teen allies. RYA is a safe place for youth to ask questions, express their concerns and discuss issues of importance that affect their lives. Sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Harford County and PFLAG Harford County. RYA meetings include discussion groups, movies, and games in a safe and supervised environment. All adults working with the youth agree to background checks. Youth between 14 and 19 years of age are welcome, regardless of their gender orientation or religious affiliation. You only need to bring an open heart and mind The Rainbow Youth Alliance of Harford County envisions a comfortable gathering place for Rainbow Youth where they feel safe and nurtured. In this fun and relaxed atomsphere, the youth can be themselves while enjoying mutual support as well as the friendship of teen allies. Youth will receive support from adults who have knowledge and experience in working with youth and with LGBTQ issues.
